FAQs
Always store chocolate in a cool, dry location away from a heat source and direct light.
The ideal storage environment should maintain a consistent temperature between 55 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit. If stored in temperatures higher than that, the chocolate may begin to soften, compromising the appearance and flavor profile.
If storing in a refrigerator for short-term purpose, please keep chocolates in a tightly sealed plastic bag so they retain their beautiful shine. Remove from fridge about 15-20 minutes before eating, but keep them in the plastic until they've reached room temperature. The ideal humidity for chocolate storage is 55 percent, and regular refrigeration units are too humid for long-term storage and will cause condensation.
Keep chocolate away from sources of strong odors, since chocolate absorbs the odors of food and other strongly smelling products around it, which can adversely affect the flavor.
Our chocolates are handmade daily in small batches, for peak freshness we suggest consuming chocolates within 10 days upon arrival. The shelf life under ideal storage conditions is 3-4 weeks.
The refrigerator is not recommended for long term storage, however for short term purposes (under 10 days) the chocolates will be fine. It is important to keep them tightly sealed in plastic or plastic container. We also highly recommend the vegetable drawer for storage which has less humidity than other areas in the refrigerator.
We recommended keeping caramel from humid environments. Caramel will absorb moisture and eventually turn hard and crystalize. Our recommendation is to consume the caramel within 3 weeks of arrival. The shelf life under ideal storage conditions can be up to 2-3 months.
